Until 23:59 on 27 October, the Axis Amazon discount is 10 percent, inside a cap
27 October 2026
On 27 October 2026, the Axis Bank offer page for the Amazon Great Indian Festival still lists a 10 percent instant discount on Axis Bank credit cards and on credit-card EMI, valid till 27 October 2026. The terms PDF linked from that page is the schedule. The heading says “Amazon Great Indian Sale”. The summary says “Amazon Great Indian Festival sale”. Validity is 21 October 2026, 00:00 hours, to 27 October 2026, 23:59 hours. The PDF does not name a time zone.
The rupee figures beside the 10 percent are caps. The discount is for Amazon Prime customers, on select products and categories on Amazon’s website or app, and on Axis Bank credit cards unless the sheet says otherwise. Debit cards, debit-card EMI, net banking, corporate cards, commercial cards, and card-on-delivery are outside it.
Two windows, the same base caps
The sheet splits the sale in two and prints the same base numbers in each. Period 1 runs from 21 October, 00:00 hours, to 23 October, 23:59 hours. Period 2 runs from 24 October, 00:00 hours, to 27 October, 23:59 hours. A note, and a later clause, say the base offer refreshes on 24 October 2026. The bonus lines are not described as refreshing.
For mobiles, the minimum transaction is ₹4,990. The maximum discount is ₹750 without EMI, and ₹1,250 on EMI. For all other categories, the minimum is ₹2,490. The maximum discount is ₹1,250 without EMI, and ₹1,750 on EMI. The maximum base-offer discount per card is ₹1,750. The partner FAQ repeats those minimums as one transaction on Amazon.in, net of buybacks, refunds, and cancellations.
A purchase on 27 October sits in period 2. On these words, a base discount already taken in period 1 does not use up the period 2 base. Ten percent of ₹20,000 is ₹2,000. On the other-categories row that is above both the ₹1,250 non-EMI maximum and the ₹1,750 EMI maximum, and above the ₹1,750 base ceiling per card in the window. That comparison is arithmetic on the printed caps, not a checkout result.
Eleven bonus steps, and two ceilings
The bonus block covers the whole sale, not one window. It is an additional instant discount on select products. The sheet lists eleven steps. The cart minimums are ₹14,990, ₹17,990, ₹24,990, ₹29,990, ₹34,990, ₹39,990, ₹49,990, ₹54,990, ₹69,990, ₹84,990, and ₹99,990. The added amounts, in that order, are ₹250, ₹250, ₹500, ₹500, ₹500, ₹750, ₹250, ₹750, ₹1,750, ₹1,000, and ₹1,250. The ₹29,990, ₹84,990, and ₹99,990 steps are marked “EMI 6M+”. Adding the eleven amounts gives ₹7,750. That sum is arithmetic on the list, not a separate line in the table.
A later clause says each bonus offer applies only once during the offer period, and that the 10 percent discount and a bonus can sit on one transaction when the minimum for that transaction is met. It does not say the eleven steps refresh on 24 October.
The same PDF then states a combined ceiling twice, and the two passages do not print the same pair of figures. In the summary headed “Maximum Benefit”, the maximum bonus discount per card is ₹9,750, the maximum combined savings per transaction is up to ₹11,250, and the maximum combined savings per card during the offer period is up to ₹7,750.
In clauses 9 and 10 of the other terms, the maximum discount per transaction using the base and the bonus is ₹9,750, with ₹1,750 + ₹7,750 in parentheses. The maximum discount per card using the base and the bonus is ₹11,250, with ₹1,750 × 2 + ₹7,750 in parentheses. ₹1,750 plus ₹7,750 is ₹9,500. ₹1,750 times 2, plus ₹7,750, is ₹11,250. This article does not replace either passage. The discount on the payment page is the one that was applied.
What the sheet leaves out
The offer does not apply to Amazon Pay balance loading, gift cards and gift vouchers, mobile recharges, DTH recharges, bill payments, an Amazon Prime membership purchase, Kindle eBooks, a Kindle Unlimited subscription, digital gold, insurance, flights, buses, trains, movies, installation orders, or gold and silver coins. It also skips select products marked ineligible on Amazon.in. The FAQ adds prepaid recharges more broadly, and infant nutrition and feeding products. It also says some products can take the instant discount and still sit outside the bonus.
The FAQ says the offer is not available if Amazon Pay balance is selected, including as a part payment. It says the discount can apply with an exchange offer or with no-cost EMI. Down-payment EMI is not eligible. A failed payment can still take the discount if it is revised inside the offer duration. Card-on-delivery and net banking do not.
A cancelled, refunded, or returned order does not keep the instant discount. The refund is after that discount is removed. If a return or a cancellation pulls the order under ₹4,990 for mobiles, or under ₹2,490 for other categories, the order no longer qualifies. On an EMI campaign, the sheet says foreclosure charges may apply. It does not print the amount. That figure is on the card’s own charge sheet, the sort of line covered in how to read the MITC.
The short summary on the offer page
The offer page, read on 27 October 2026, says up to ₹1,250 off on non-EMI purchases, up to ₹1,750 off on EMI purchases, and that the base offer resets on 24 October 2026. It does not repeat the mobile row, the Prime condition, or the two combined ceilings. Those are in the PDF.
The additional terms say the discount is applied at the payment page, that the bank and Amazon may modify, withdraw, or extend the offer without prior notice, and that the card’s primary terms still apply. A cart under the category minimum does not meet the 10 percent line. This page does not say a discount will appear on a particular order.
