From 10 November, one MakeMyTrip ICICI card is set at no forex mark-up
4 November 2026
On 4 November 2026, ICICI Bank’s credit-card Most Important Terms and Conditions still print 10 November 2026 on one card. The file’s own properties show a modification time of 16 October 2026. This page reads that file, and MakeMyTrip’s terms for the card, as both stood on 4 November.
The card named in the exception is the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card. The same sentences use the words “Not applicable” for the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Signature Credit Card and the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Platinum Credit Card.
The foreign-currency row
The section is headed “Foreign currency transactions”. It sets a mark-up of 3.50 per cent. A refund the customer initiates on a similar foreign-currency transaction also attracts a 3.5 per cent mark-up fee. Under “Exception”, item 2 reads that no forex mark-up will be levied on the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card, with effect from <Nov 10, 2026>. The angle brackets are in the file. The sentence then names the Signature card and the Platinum card as outside that exception. The 3.50 per cent line, and the 3.5 per cent line on a customer-initiated refund, sit above the list of exceptions.
A second fee, when the bill is in rupees
Dynamic currency conversion is the next row. The file describes it as a fee on transactions conducted in Indian currency at international locations, or in Indian currency at merchants located in India but registered in a foreign nation.
The row has two columns. The column headed “Current Charges” prints 1 per cent. The column headed “Charges w.e.f. Jan 15, 2026” prints 3.5 per cent, then a list of exceptions. Exception 2 in that column says no dynamic currency conversion fee will be levied for the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card with effect from <Nov 10, 2026>, and names the Signature card and the Platinum card as outside it. Under the columns, the section says any refund initiated by the customer will also attract a dynamic currency conversion fee based on the variant rate.
The file modified on 16 October 2026 still uses both headings. The zero-fee sentence for the named card sits in the January column, and it carries its own date of 10 November 2026. Each column keeps the heading printed on it. MakeMyTrip’s terms, read the same day, cover foreign-exchange mark-up and myCash.
What the MakeMyTrip page says about rewards
MakeMyTrip’s terms have their own foreign-exchange section. One bullet says a foreign-exchange mark-up of 0.99 per cent applies on transactions in international currency, that 1 per cent myCash will be rewarded on those transactions, and that any bank charges and taxes will be applicable over and above, as per bank charges. That bullet ends with “discontinued from 10th Nov 2026”. The next bullet says that from 10th Nov 2026, customers will have zero foreign-exchange mark-up on international transactions, and that there will not be any rewards against these transactions from the dates mentioned above.
The earn table on the same page leaves 10 November off the category rows. On MakeMyTrip, flights are 3 myCash on every ₹100, hotels are 6, and holidays, cabs, and buses are 3. A train booking is 25 myCash on the booking. Other MakeMyTrip spends are 1 myCash on every ₹100. Domestic spends outside MakeMyTrip are 1 myCash on every ₹100, excluding rent pay and EMI. Insurance is 1 myCash on every ₹100, up to 1,000 myCash in an anniversary year. For this programme, 1 myCash equals ₹1. The page says these myCash terms pertain to the new MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card only.
myCash earned till 10 November 2026 is printed with lifetime validity, in the page’s words “never expiring rewards”. myCash earned after that date is printed with a validity of 2 years from the date of credit. A further line says the myCash earned on the card will be available till the card is active. Both lines are on the page.
The same terms leave rent pay, cash advances, card fees and charges, the joining fee, the annual fee, EMI, balance transfers, and a personal loan on the credit card out of myCash. Qualifying myCash is rounded to the nearest integer at posting. A retail transaction that is later reversed earns none. Credit to the MakeMyTrip account is described as within 45 business days of the statement date, when the card account is not delinquent or cancelled. The page gives that timing to spends on MakeMyTrip and to spends outside it.
Two files on the bank’s site
The file above is the terms whose properties show 16 October 2026. A second PDF, at a different address on the bank’s site, was opened on 4 November 2026 as well. Its properties show 1 July 2025. That copy prints a mark-up of 0.99 per cent on the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card, and says that rate is not applicable on the Signature card or the Platinum card. Its dynamic currency conversion line is 1 per cent, with effect from 1 March 2024, and its foreign-currency section stops at that 0.99 per cent line. When the copies differ, the statement on the account is the charge that was applied.
Before a trip
Read the name on the card, because the zero lines name one card and place the Signature card and the Platinum card outside them. Read the currency on the payment screen. A charge in a foreign currency is the mark-up row. A charge in rupees, at an international location or at a merchant in India registered in a foreign nation, is the conversion row. A booking the earn table lists is the myCash row, read with the date that myCash is credited.
Interest and the wider fee table stay on the card’s most important terms, the sheet covered in how to read the MITC. The two PDFs and the MakeMyTrip terms are the ones read here.
